The president of the Agency is the Mayor of the City of Venice. The Agency has the mandate of monitoring and implementing the energy and CO2 strategy of the city of Venice at the target year 2010, as developed by the Municipal Energy Plan.
The four axes of intervention of the Agency are: 1. promotion of high-efficiency technologies for electricity and thermal final uses 2. development of renewable energies 3. fuel shift in favour of less carbon-intensive fuels 4. information, education & training. From the methodological point of view, the Agency develops partnership oriented projects, typically geared on a pilot phase aiming at demonstrating new energy technologies via the implementation of concrete pilot projects, and on a subsequent scaling-up and dissemination phase, addressed to target groups and/or the general public.
Parallel to its action based on specific projects, of particular importance is the involvement of the Agency in setting new rules for sustainable urban development, i.e. working at town-planning level and incorporating renewable energy and energy efficiency parameters in the building regulation tools.
In this context, the Agency is developing a technical proposal in a joint working group with the Municipality to arrive at the introduction in Venice of a “solar ordinance” for both solar thermal and PV, by means of mandatory standards (which is particularly the case of any major new urban developments) as well as voluntary / incentive schemes.

Punto Energia Provincia di Sassari - Multiss S.p.A. has experience in the sectorof energetic planning studies, in promoting and developing projects for energysaving in various sectors. It is involved with the public education department ofRegion Sardinia and Sassari Province to implement the training anddissemination activities on energy efficiency through the production ofeducational material and promotion inside SMES of concrete energy accountingsystems.
Punto Energia Provincia di Sassari carried out numerous projects andscientific and technical collaboration al local, national and European level.Punto Energia Provincia di Sassari makes active part of the Italian energyagencies network, RENAEL and of the organisation for promoting energytechnologies - OPET Network.Punto Energia Provincia di Sassari is a department for the management ofenergy and environment policies in a public/private company, and according toits founding it disposes of the organisation to develop the actions for public andprivate sectors.
In this capacity it is involved actually in European projects thatare of interest to the whole province of Sassari (north part of Sardinia), due toenergy saving orientation and reduction of CO2 emissions. It is involved also, incollaboration with national and international companies, in promoting renewableenergy sources in the National Park of La Maddalena archipelago (north westSardinia).

Aim of the company is to make studies, installations, management, financing in the sector of renewable energies, energy saving and energy efficiency. ESCO’ s organisation is identified from National Authority for the Electric Energy and Gas (AEEG) as a company admitted to present projects to the national authority on behave of final consumers (local communities, enterprises) for energy certification of results.
Main tasks of ESCO Sardegna are the technical analysis of energy system, also complex, in order to individualise measures to obtain energy saving and energy supply, as well as the realisations of interventions and management of energy systems and plant, also with the financial contribution of ESCO itself.

At the end of the three years of European project the agency assumed its actual status and name. APEA is a public subject operating in strong collaboration with Provincia Regional di Agrigento which holds it.
Main activities of APEA are: information and promotion of RES and RUE, energy management service for public and private bodies, training, development of environmentally friend projects, performance of studies in the field of energy and environment management, support to municipalities and enterprises.
APEA carries out project collaborations with local, national and international bodies exclusively in the field of sustainable exploitation of energy and natural resources.
The agency is also member of national Italian network of energy agencies (RENAEL) with which it actively cooperates. Among the most recent projects, on 27/03/2004, APEA and ISES Italia jointly organised in Agrigento a national conference focused on fuel cells applications and future prospects.
In 1997, APEA produced the energy plan for the Province of Agrigento. This plan was the first regional energy planning instrument produced in whole Sicily.
